Feng Shui Bedroom Mirror Placement
Is it bad Feng Shui to have a mirror in the bedroom? In Feng Shui, a mirror facing the bed is considered bad. This is because it depletes your energy. When you are sleeping, your body is repairing and healing itself. It is in need of energy at this time and so if depleted of energy, your body will be adversely affected.
This doesn’t mean that mirrors are bad feng shui. Mirrors are very important in feng shui and are used for several different reasons. Mirrors are a powerful source of altering energy. They have been called the aspirin of feng shui; with proper placement, they can dramatically shift the flow of Chi, or feng shui energy.
If you have a mirror facing the bed, you can remedy it in two ways:
1) Remove the mirror and place it somewhere else. This is easy–just find some new spot for the mirror.
2) Cover the mirror with a cloth or curtain. Covering the mirror prevents it from interfering with energy as it cannot reflect it. Use thicker curtains for better results.
Large mirrors or wall mirrors have been proved to be an excellent source of energy especially in the dining room. This is a very good way of bringing in Feng Shui luck for ‘eating’. Mirror reflecting the dining table creates an impression of doubling of the food on the table. This kind of set up may not enhance directly your wealth and riches, but it definitely ensures that the family will never lack food.
You can hang a picture of delicious food in the dining room or place a bowl with fresh fruits on the table. Your refrigerator should be well stocked at all times. All this symbolises the availability of food in the house.
Mirrors near the dining table are good, but mirrors near the stove are very bad Feng Shui. You may get injured in such a case and even your life could be in danger. Mirrors reflecting the dining table enhance good fortunes, whereas mirrors reflecting the cooking gas cylinder or the stove, can be fatal.
